What is the relationship between the State of Ohio and Muppet Fozzie Bear character?
I have a vintage t-shirt I picked in a second-hand shop with a picture of Fozzie Bear and the word "Fozzie Bear" and underneath, in letters of time, the words "State of Ohio. I looked online and can find no relationship. Does anyone know all the possibilities? The curiosity is killing me!
There has no direct relationship. during the late 70s and 80s many large universities piggy backed their name recognition with cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Snoopy / Peanuts, Bugs Bunny, etc. The idea being that some fans would not buy a plain T-shirt OSU, but Fozzie or has never been a OSU fan. Its brand name of the Cross or mixed. He began to fade right owners of the cartoon image started to become more restrictions on their use.
