T-Shirt Printing?
I would like to print mty own tee shirts – I live in an area where this would be an excellent small business to get into. All I am wondering about is I know there are (basically) two easy ways to print onto shirts (, etc)
Method 1: Printing Machines (usually costing between 500 and 1000 dollars – which I’m trying to keep start up costs as low as possible and then upgrade equipment as it goes well, etc)
Method 2: Printing designs from your PC/Printer and ironing on.
Could anyone tell me if Method 2 is durable and lasting? Or, overall which method is best for decent shirts?? Or what is the best way to print multiple coulour – complex designs (band shirts, slogans, etc) on shirts, clothes, etc??

Well, my step dad actually does this for a living, and he has had his buisness doing this for about 4 years now, and it is worth nearly 400 k.
Doing screen printing is a full time commitment, but you can make alot of money doing it.
dont do iron ons.
If you do them for people, they will most definitly not come back to you because they do not uphold well.
Go ahead and spend the money on the screen printing press, the dryer. and a flash dryer if you are doing more than one color. But also screens, emulsion, and a darkrom are needed. The darkroom is very important ineenprinting and you need a special dryer which could cost about 2-300 dollars.
